Reflective practice guidance

The guidance below is provided to support reflection at different time points, providing you with questions to aid you to reflect for this training activity. They are provided for guidance and should not be considered as a mandatory checklist. Trainees should not be expected to provide answers to each of the guidance questions listed.

  • What are the potential benefits of the improvement?
  • What different ways could the task or process be improved?
  • What steps will be involved in suggesting and potentially implementing the change, including gaining necessary approvals?

In action

  • As you identify potential areas for improvement, are you actively considering different solutions and their potential benefits and drawbacks?
  • As you suggest and implement changes, are you consciously monitoring the impact of these changes on the task or process?
  • As you reflect on the implementation, are you noting down any unexpected challenges or lessons learned from the change process?

On action
