Evidence requirements
Evidence the observation or experience has been undertaken by the trainee.
Reflections on the observation or experience at two timepoints including contextualisation to the trainees own practice. E.g., for planned observations, a reflection before the observation and after, or for unplanned events a reflection one day after and another reflection a week later.
Considerations
Examples of specialist clinic could include: charities, support services for patients, public, voluntary and independent care services and providers, A&E, theatres, primary care and mental health services
Reflect on the clinic, considering:
- The range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and the benefits and limitations
- Multidisciplinary team working and the roles and responsibilities of those involved in the clinic
- Application of the principles of patient centred care and shared decision making
- Access to care
- Management of the clinic
