- methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Clostridium difficile, glycopeptide-resistant enterococci (GRE), resistant
- Gram negatives.

- microscopy
- culture
- NAAT
- ELISA
- MS.
- Factors affecting the selection of techniques and the benefits and implications of each.
- The protocols and procedures associated with this range of techniques.
