Perform clinical and laboratory investigation of infections considered important in pregnancy, including:
- urinary tract infections
- sexually transmitted infections
- fungal infections including candidosis, parasitic diseases,
- e.g. toxoplasmosis and malaria, septic abortion, chorioamnionitis and endometritis.

- The risk factors, clinical presentation, implications and treatment of infections in pregnancy.
