Fundamentals of Molecular Biology

  • Identifies the origins and consequences of germline variation and somatic mutations, including DNA methylation and gene expression changes

Fundamentals of Genetics

  • Identifies the structure of genes including translation and transcription, factors affecting gene expression and inheritance patterns

Molecular Techniques

  • Identifies molecular techniques

Molecular Tests

  • Describes molecular tests currently performed on histological samples

Technical and clinical skills

Fundamentals of Molecular Biology

  • Demonstrates the origins of and justifications for molecular tests

Fundamentals of Genetics

  • Recognises the factors affecting transcription and translation
