Training activity information
Details
Shadow Clinical Scientist(s) working in at least two of the following areas, and reflect on their role:
- Radiation Safety and Diagnostic Radiology
- Radiotherapy
- Nuclear Medicine
- Non-Ionising Radiation
Type
Observational training activity (OTA)
Evidence requirements
Evidence the observation or experience has been undertaken by the trainee.
Reflections on the observation or experience at two timepoints including contextualisation to the trainees own practice. E.g., for planned observations, a reflection before the observation and after, or for unplanned events a reflection one day after and another reflection a week later.
Considerations
- Consider the range of responsibilities of a Clinical Scientist in Medical Physics
- Reflect on the scope of practice of Clinical Scientists and the additional roles and responsibilities including that of the Medical Physics Expert and Radiation Protection Advisor
- Reflect on the multidisciplinary team working with the medical physics department and stakeholders in the department activity
