Evidence requirements
Evidence the observation or experience has been undertaken by the trainee.
Reflections on the observation or experience at two timepoints including contextualisation to the trainees own practice. E.g., for planned observations, a reflection before the observation and after, or for unplanned events a reflection one day after and another reflection a week later.
Considerations
- Consider the prescription of the product including
- Responsibility for prescription
- Role in patient treatment
- Selection of dose and formulation
- Reflect on the elements of the journey including:
- Clinical screening and verification
- Communication with the aseptic unit
- Pathway through the aseptic unit
- Delivery to the treatment area
- Treatment area storage
- Administration to the patient, including nursing checks
- Patient experience undergoing treatment
- Patient centred care and support
