Aim of this module
Trainees will complete a project in their own specialty, applying knowledge developed in the Research Skills for Healthcare Science module. The projects will contribute to the improvement of patient care through research, service evaluation or audit.

Learning outcomes
On successful completion of this module the trainee will be able to:

Indicative content
- The STP Project is an applied module. Trainees will undertake their own project to contribute to the improvement of patient care through research, service evaluation, audit or other relevant methods. Trainees will apply knowledge developed in the Research Skills for Healthcare Science module.
- Universities will support completion of the academic element of the project by:
- Advising on the design and planning of trainees’ projects.
- Guiding timely completion and submission of the project including data analysis and interpretation.
- Supporting appropriate critical analysis and reporting of the project.
