Programme aim
To provide clinical scientist trainees with strong science-based, patient-centred clinical training in Clinical Scientific Computing and Data Science .
Programme level learning outcomes
Clinical Informatics
- Apply specialist knowledge to the practice of Clinical Informatics
- Critically evaluate the application of new technologies and practices in Clinical Informatics to patient care
- Appraise the benefits, risks and impact on patient care of informatics systems and services
- Practice in accordance with legislation and “good practice” guidance
- Evaluate alignment of practice with local and national policy
- Apply appropriate methodologies and programming skills to develop and deliver informatics solutions to meet stakeholder requirements
- Critically analyse data to support decision making in the provision of patient care and healthcare services
- Practice in partnership with system and service stakeholders and the wider multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care

As employees of their host organisation, trainees are required to attend the workplace as required by their employer. Trainees are required to attend all sessions as specified by the Higher Education Institute. |
