Programme aim
To provide clinical scientist trainees with strong science-based, patient-centred clinical training in Cellular Science.

Embryology
- Perform routine laboratory procedures in Embryology
- Apply assisted reproductive technology techniques; assessing and preparing gametes and evaluating the outcome
- Outline the appropriate treatment pathways for patients based on the clinical parameters
- Practice in accordance with the regulatory framework and professional guidance for Embryology
- Apply and adapt skills to communicate effectively with patients and multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrate safe and effective practice, minimising risk to all users.
- Apply the principles of quality management and participate in quality activities
- Appraise emerging technologies and clinical advances to evolve practice in Embryology
- Summarise the healthcare environment in which Embryology is practiced

As employees of their host organisation, trainees are required to attend the workplace as required by their employer. Trainees are required to attend all sessions as specified by the Higher Education Institute. |
