Learning outcomes
The trainee should produce evidence of completion of immediate or advanced life support training before undertaking any of the learning outcomes.
- Plan, prepare and set up for left heart catheterisation and provide scientific support and analysis
- Plan, prepare and set up for right heart catheterisation and provide scientific support and analysis
- Plan, prepare and set up for left and right heart catheterisation and provide scientific support and analysis
- Troubleshoot problems with the monitoring system and, where appropriate, carry out routine maintenance procedures on the equipment used for cardiac catheterisation
- Plan, prepare and set up for implantable loop recorder (ILR) insertion, and manage post-implantation follow-up.
