Conduct an infection control and health and safety assessment appropriate to the investigation DOPS
Take a patient history OCE
Measure head according to a recognised system and apply electrode to within 5mm accuracy OCE
Explain hyperventilation in a style appropriate to the patients level of understanding and obtain appropriate consent OCE
Explain photic stimulation in a style appropriate to the patients level of understanding and obtain appropriate consent OCE
Identify and eliminate or minimise artefacts (biological and physical) OCE
Accurately annotate changes in the patients stage and their EEG OCE

  1. Plan, prepare and perform EEG recordings, accurately measuring electrode sites, site electrodes using recommended placement system, and differentiate between artefact and physiological occurrence in paediatric patients
  2. Interpret the data and produce high-quality reports with respect to paediatric EEG
